Carmen Corner Meats is part of a small third generation family farm, home to Don and Louella Friesen. It is located in the Saskatchewan River valley just north of the town of Waldheim.
In 1988 we began the transition to organic certification of our grain farm and were certified in 1992. We believe we have the responsibility, and are grateful for the opportunity to be a part of a local food movement that connects consumers of food with the producer.
The hogs we use for butcher are raised humanely on a farm within 25 km from our facility. The livestock are in-doors, bedded on straw with ample ranging space and are raised without growth hormones and/or antibiotics.
Our facility and all of our products are gluten and dairy free.
